A New Level of Downtime at Urban Camp
We are excited to share a new addition to Urban Camp’s recreation area, a multi-game arcade console packed with hundreds of classic and modern games.
While camp days are often filled with exploring Melbourne, engaging in curriculum-linked activities and building new friendships, we also know that structured downtime matters. Students need space to unwind, reset and connect in a safe, supervised environment.
Our new arcade machine adds another layer to that experience.
The new console offers:
Access to hundreds of games in one machine
Familiar favourites like PAC-MAN alongside newer titles
Quick, rotation-style play that encourages inclusion
An activity that works well in all weather conditions
It is not about creating noise or chaos. It is about providing structured, safe opportunities for connection and fun.
Supporting Balance During Camp
City-based camps are busy. Students are navigating public transport, engaging in museum visits, science programs and leadership activities. Having a dedicated indoor recreation space allows them to recharge between scheduled sessions.
The arcade console complements our existing recreation facilities, including table games and open social spaces. It supports friendly competition, teamwork and social interaction without requiring complex setup or additional supervision.
Designed With Groups in Mind
As with all areas of Urban Camp, the recreation space is built for groups. Clear expectations and defined routines ensure that downtime remains positive and well managed.
The addition of this new machine reflects our ongoing commitment to improving facilities and enhancing the overall camp experience for schools and groups.
Whether it is a quick game after dinner or a relaxed moment during scheduled free time, the new arcade console is ready for your group. Urban Camp. Ready when you are.
